I come to Hawaii from the mainland partially just to eat here! It's probably stupid (haha) but I love it~ Spicy beef ramen is the best!
MoreLocated in the Makai Market Food Court of Ala Moana Center, Naniwa-ya Ramen was a good choice for a quick and easy lunch. The Japanese food was tasty with fast service and plenty of seats in the food court. The servings were of reasonable size and we felt we got our money’s worth. We were able to get back to our shopping in no time!
MoreBest ramen .3rd visit in a week. Wonton ramen #7
Try the spicy beef, it's really really yummy! Yes, it's pretty spicy but the broth was just amazing. Both the taste and aroma were simply perfect. One of the best ramen noodles I've had. They're not stingy on meat either. No extra stuff in the bowl except ramen noodles, spinach and plenty of beef.
MoreThe best ramen noodles I have ever eaten
It's okay. I didn't expect it to be as greasy as it was. Taste was fine, but didn't taste like a $12 meal for sure. 2.5 stars.
MoreThere are a lot of ramen places out there and each claiming to have some special broth or noodle, but Naniwa-Ya has been around for decades and offers a good selection of ramen to match just about anyone's taste and at a reasonable price. You get a decent size bowl of noodles and toppings swimming in a good broth at a fair price. On top of that it is fast and ready to eat or takeout before you know it. The final nice addition is their add your topping open bar of green onion, fried garlic, and other seasonings that you can help yourself to for that extra bang to your ramen.I tried the Kimchi Lime ramen and was very pleased with it. Had lots of veggies, so it was a much healthier alternative to the other meat based ramens. I do recommend getting a side of their bamboo shoots to add to it.Yes this is a mall food court eatery, but it is as I said in my first paragraph, decent, tasty, and at a fair price. So if you are in the mood for ramen, go to Naniwa-Ya and enjoy.
MoreJapanese ramen run by a bunch Chinese student labours. Typical Chinese sweat shop with no smile. Cashier doesn't even look at you. Ramen Tastes like instant noodle
